Choosing the Right MC & DJ
Choosing the right MC and DJ is one of the most important decisions you'll make for your wedding or special event. A great DJ does much more than play music. They help set the tone, keep the celebration flowing smoothly, and create an experience your guests will remember long after the night is over.
With so many entertainment companies to choose from, finding the right fit can feel overwhelming. After nearly two decades in the industry, I've learned that great equipment alone doesn't make a great DJ. Just because someone owns speakers, lights, and a laptop doesn't mean they have the experience, professionalism, and personality needed to successfully guide one of the most important days of your life.
That's why I encourage every couple to ask questions, compare options, and find a DJ whose style matches their vision. In fact, there have been times when I've referred couples to fellow professionals because I felt another style was a better fit. What's most important to me is that you find the right MC and DJ for your celebration.
A Few Common Questions
-
Do you provide a contract?
-
Absolutely. Every event includes a detailed contract outlining services, pricing, and expectations. I also understand that plans can evolve during the planning process, so updates and adjustments can easily be made along the way.
-
-
Can we meet before booking?
-
This is a requirement I have. Building a connection is important. Whether it's in person, over the phone, or via video chat, I want to learn about your vision and make sure we're a great fit for one another.
-
-
Will you follow our music preferences?
-
Absolutely. Your event should reflect your personality and taste. I'll gladly work with your must-play and do-not-play lists while also providing suggestions to help keep the energy flowing throughout the evening.
-
-
Do you take guest requests?
-
Yes, unless a song falls on your do-not-play list. I do my best to accommodate requests that fit the atmosphere and vision you've created for your event.
-
-
What is your MC style?
-
Professional, polished, and energetic without being over-the-top. I believe the spotlight belongs on you, not the DJ. My role is to keep things organized, informed, and moving smoothly while enhancing the experience, not becoming the show.
-
-
Are there any hidden fees?
-
No. My packages are straightforward and include the sound equipment, microphones, setup, and everything needed for your event. No surprises. No hidden charges.
